Anti-Termite Reticulation System

Anti-Termite Reticulation System

The termite reticulation system, also known as the pipe reticulation system or anti termite piping system, is a new revolutionary termite treatment methodology  developed to effectively treat the area under the concrete slabs or before the flooring is completed.

Anti termite pipping method is a system of underground rubberized membrane pipes. The pipes used in this method are called as “porous pipes” that are specially designed to uniformly distribute an anti-termite chemical(termiticide) throughout the building’s foundations.

Anti-termite treatment piping system works to keep termites away by laying some rubber pipes (porous pipes) around the building foundation.

By planting these termite pipes, you can make a pathway for an anti-termite chemical that you can pour/inject whenever you want without having to drill a hole in your floor. But this procedure is to be done so that pipelines can be buried in the ground of your building while the building is being constructed or when the floor is being renovated.

By preventing termites from entering your home from the outside or from under the floor in the future, this anti termite reticulation system helps to prevent future infestations.
It protects a new building very well and serves as a highly effective termite barrier for many years. It is also incredibly durable. By installing porous pipes under the flooring during construction, termite and pest control is achieved.

Installation of Anti-Termite Pipping System

1. Depending on the size of the apartment or house, the pipe may be installed anywhere from 6 inches below the flooring.

2. The termite pipping system involves using a grid pattern to lay special flexible 16 mm diameter porous pipe along the interior perimeter of the building, walls and in the middle of the flooring.

3. Prior to laying the sand bed or subgrade or fixing the floor marble or tiles, perforated pipes made of rubberized membrane are installed along the flooring.

4. The installed porous pipes are then covered properly with sand to absorb the chemical uniformly.

Note: If the porous pipes are covered with cement concreate, the chemical cannot be disperesed. This is why the porous pipes are covered with sand.

5. A uniform distribution of termiticide under the entire flooring is made possible by emitters built into the porous pipe.
The risk of any area going untreated is decreased by the emitters’ pre-calculated rate of chemical distribution.

6. Continuously perforated porous pipe is used to ensure that no dirt, debris, clay, or sand will obstruct the pipe and to maximise its effectiveness.

Porous Pipe has a very erratic drip pattern and is made from recycled rubber. The hose is soft and flexible, which makes it very simple to use because it can be bent to fit around corners and the ends of borders.

7. For the regular refueling of termite chemical, the open ends of this network of pipes are connected at several refilling points which are called as Junction Boxes.
In order to apply the termiticide from outside the building without disturbing the residents, refilling points are been installed along the exterior wall.

Refueling/Recharging of Termite Reticulation Piping System

The Termite Reticulation Piping System is to be recharged at a rate of 5 litres per square metre of the horizontal surface area.
This needs to be done every three to four years in order to keep your home protected from termite entry.

The effective design of the termite reticulation system has enabled a minimum Service Life of more than 35 years.
Furthermore, our skilled team of workers who has been specially trained for this job, years of practical experience in the construction industry, and a thorough knowledge of various stages of construction complete the entire task of floor networking, installation, and testing.

Advantages of the Anti Termite Piping System:

  • Pouring the pesticide does not require drilling.
  • Filling points for pesticides will be located outside the building, without disturbing the residents.
  • The termite chemical is not released in a strong odour in the building.
  • The pesticide filling will protect the complete area from termites.
  • There are no stains or marks on the floors.
  • The chemical is distributed evenly under the floor, unlike the traditional termite injection method.
  • Tedious work of removing the furniture in the area is not required.
  • The anti termite piping system installation comes with a 30-year warranty and requires refilling once in three year.
  • Because the recharging cost is significantly lower than the drill and fill method, there is a significant cost-benefit ratio when compared to traditional termite treatment methods over a longer period of time.

What is a porous pipe?

Porous Pipe has a very erratic drip pattern and is made from recycled rubber.
Because the hose is soft and flexible, it can be bent to fit around corners and the ends of borders, making it very simple to use.

Why is porous pipe used over pvc pipes?

Porous Pipe has a very erratic drip pattern and is made from recycled rubber. The hose is soft and flexible, which makes it very simple to use because it can be bent to fit around corners and the ends of borders.
PVC pipes are made of plastic and can be broken when subgrade is poured on it. This could lead to leak in grid pipe reticulation system.
